Outline of Research at the Start

関節リウマチ関連間質性肺病変(RA-ILD)は生命予後に重大な影響を及ぼしうるが、病態の解明・治療法の確立は未だ不十分である。これまでの遺伝解析では、日本人でRA-ILD発症の遺伝要因を説明できる一塩基多型は確認されていない。1%未満の頻度で存在する多様体をレアバリアントと呼び、多遺伝子疾患での役割も少しずつ報告されてきているが、日本人RA-ILDの発症に関わるレアバリアントの報告はない。そこで本研究では、日本人RA-ILDの発症にはレアバリアントの役割が重要であるとの仮説を立て、エクソーム解析でレアバリアントをタイピングして、RA-ILDの病因に関わる遺伝子を同定し、その発症機序に迫る。
