Outline of Research at the Start

せん妄は高齢者に多く発生し、死亡リスクの増加や不可逆的な認知機能低下に大きく影響する。せん妄の発症に対して、薬剤はリスクと予防の双方での関連性が示唆されているが、エビデンスは十分ではない。
本研究では、多数の交絡因子を調整可能なDPC診療データベースを用いて、せん妄と薬剤の関連性を明らかにする。さらに、多施設共同観察研究によってレジストリデータを作成し、得られた結果の多重検証を行う。本研究によって、せん妄と高い関連性を有する薬剤の事前予測や調整が可能となり、せん妄の発症頻度の大幅な減少が期待される。
