Outline of Research at the Start

アルツハイマー病（AD）は高齢化社会における重要な課題であり、早期診断や病態評価のための画像バイオマーカーの確立が求められている。近年の技術的進歩により、23Naの核磁気共鳴を利用した23Na-MRIが臨床用装置で撮像可能となった。23Na-MRIにより測定される組織Na+濃度は細胞内外のイオン環境や代謝状態を反映するとされており、ADの病態との関連が示唆されている。本研究では、臨床用MRI装置を用いた23Na-MRI撮像の基盤整備を行い、患者に対する23Na-MRIの撮影および画像解析を通してADにおける23Na-MRIのバイオマーカーとしての有用性を検証する。
