Outline of Research at the Start

頭頸部癌患者に対する放射線治療の有害事象として味覚障害があり、健康状態の低下やQuality of Life 低下と強く関わるため重要な課題となっている。味覚障害に関して、具体的な味質(甘味、塩味、酸味、苦味、旨味)の変化に関しては評価されておらず、その詳細は不明な点が多い。本研究では、放射線治療後に味質を評価する味覚機能検査を定期的に行うことで、放射線治療によって生じる味覚障害の特徴を解明する。
