Outline of Research at the Start

高齢化社会において悪性腫瘍の罹患率が上昇し続ける中で、ICIsの劇的な効果が注目されているが、副作用であるirAEsが問題になっている。irAE腸炎はIBDに類似しており、診療上問題となることが多い一方で、病態不明で治療法も確立されていない。本研究では当研究室におけるIBD及び腫瘍免疫における基礎研究の経験、免疫学的ツール、再生医療ツール、内視鏡センター、臨床腫瘍科併設による施設の強みを活かし、超個体レベルでの網羅的解析、IBDとの比較によるirAE腸炎の分類、オルガノイド／T細胞共培養技術を用いた体外モデルの樹立、マウスモデルの樹立を行い、irAE腸炎の病態解明及び治療戦略の開発を目指す。
