Outline of Research at the Start	新規がん治療薬の開発によるがん患者の生存期間の延長や、高齢がん患者の増加を背景に、近年、がん悪液質への対策の重要性が増している。しかし、がん悪液質のメカニズムに関しては、依然として未解明な点が多く、その対策を進める上での障害となっている。本研究では、オートファジーおよびSTINGシグナルの相互作用に焦点を当て、分子生物学的アプローチにより、がん悪液質のメカニズムの解明を目指す。さらに、がん悪液質をともなう消化器がん患者の臨床データの解析や、質量分析技術を用いた血液サンプルの解析を通じて、オートファジーおよびSTINGシグナルの果たす役割を検証する。
