Outline of Research at the Start

GAPDHは解糖系酵素として知られているが、ストレス応答に応じて細胞内局在が変化し、細胞死と関連していることが他疾患で報告されている。本研究はこのGAPDHの細胞内局在が細胞死およびその他の心不全シグナルと関連し、心血管疾患の発症に関連しているのではないかと仮定し、GAPDH核内移行という全く新しいメカニズムからの心血管疾患の病態解明および新規治療薬開発を目指すものである。
