Outline of Research at the Start

慢性腎臓病の最も主要な合併症に腎性貧血があり、その原因として赤血球寿命が健常人の 50-70%に短縮していることが知られているが、その機序は未だ不明である。本研究は、健常人の赤血球と腎性貧血患者の赤血球を比較し、腎性貧血患者では、酸化ストレスや尿毒素物質によって、PS表在化が早期から出現し赤血球寿命が短縮しているかどうかを評価する。その結果を踏まえて、将来的には赤血球寿命を延長する治療を見出すことを目的とする。
