Outline of Research at the Start

SJS/TENは、重篤な皮膚および粘膜病変を引き起こす致死率の髙い疾患である。これらの疾患は表皮細胞の著しい細胞死を特徴とする。我々は、この表皮細胞がプログラム細胞死であるpyroptosis, apoptosis, necroptosisを同時多発性に来すことで細胞死に至っていることを確認した。これは多細胞死形態が同一のシグナルで誘導されるとする「PANoptosis」の概念と一致する。本研究の目的は、SJS/TENにおいて未解明の表皮細胞死のメカニズム、特にPANoptosisの細胞死調節機構を解明し、新規バイオマーカーの発見や治療標的の探索に結びつけることである。
