Outline of Research at the Start

成人T細胞白血病リンパ腫（ATL）はヒトT細胞白血病ウイルス1型（HTLV-1）に感染したリンパ球の腫瘍化による予後不良の悪性腫瘍である。がん幹細胞はがんの治療抵抗性に関わるため、ATL幹細胞の同定は治療抵抗性改善への寄与が期待できる。本研究ではまず、治療抵抗性、ATL発症、マウスでのATL再構築に関わるATL幹細胞分画を同定する。同定したATL幹細胞分画細胞を解析し、ATL細胞の枯渇に関わる新たな治療標的候補を呈示する。in vitroでのスクリーニングから最終的にはATLマウスモデルを用いた検討で、新たなATL治療候補の有効性と安全性を検討することを目指す。
