Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では腸管に感染性のあるロタウイルスをベクターとして、複数の熱帯熱マラリア抗原を搭載した経口投与型のマルチステージマラリアワクチンの開発を行う。本研究では、ロタウイルスをベクターとした経口投与型のマルチステージワクチンを作製する。培養モデルおよびマウスモデルを用いて、本ワクチンの免疫原性、単独の抗マラリア効果（伝播阻止、感染防御）、それらのマルチステージでの相乗効果の評価をおこない、その作用機序を解明する。本研究で得られる知見は、今後の経口投与型マラリアワクチンの開発において基盤となるものである。
