Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、口腔内細菌が透析シャント感染の原因の一つである可能性に着目し、感染シャントの細菌叢と口腔内細菌叢の類似性、ならびに感染経路の検証を行う。また、CKD患者を対象にランダム化比較試験を実施し、歯科治療（歯周治療・補綴治療など）による咀嚼機能改善や口腔内細菌叢の変化が、感染症発症やCKD重症化の予防にどの程度寄与するかを明らかにする。得られる成果は、医科歯科連携の重要性を示すとともに、CKD患者における歯科介入の新たな意義を示すものである。
