Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、HIV-1感染症の根治・機能的治癒を目指し、強力なHIV-1特異的CD8 T細胞反応の誘導を可能とする新規HIV-1治療ワクチンの開発を行う。ワクチンプラットフォームとして自己増殖型RNA (self-amplifying RNA: saRNA)を採用し、HIV-1特異的CD8 T細胞を誘導するエピトープとユニバーサルHLA class IIエピトープの両者を抗原として利用する。HLAトランスジェニックマウスとHIV-1感染者検体を用いてHIV-1感染症ワクチンの免疫原性を評価することで、HIV-1特異的CD8T細胞反応をより強力に誘導するためのワクチン基盤の構築を行う。
