Outline of Research at the Start

2型糖尿病患者に対する血糖降下薬について、多くの薬剤が上市されている。申請者は2型糖尿病発症前既往最高BMI(MBBO)という、糖尿病発症時もしくは診断時に確認できる指標が、糖尿病の主たる病態である内因性インスリン分泌能を推測する指標であることのみならず腎症を含む糖尿病細小血管合併症、さらにはα細胞量と関連する指標であることを報告してきた。本研究は、MBBOがGLP-1受容体作動薬を中心とするインクレチン関連薬選定の効果的な予測因子となり得るかを検証するものである。
