Outline of Research at the Start

癌関連線維芽細胞（Cancer-associated fibroblast：CAF）を含めた癌微小環境の多様性をDesmoplastic reaction分類で包括して評価できれば、基礎研究により重要性が明らかになりつつある癌微小環境を病理組織評価項目として層別化し、予後不良群のより適切な選別、そして術後補助療法適応基準の最適化に繋がる可能性がある。さらには、癌微小環境制御による新規治療法（既存の抗癌剤・レジメンに上乗せするシグナル阻害薬など）の開発につなげ、癌細胞・CAFが作り出す癌に有利な微小環境を制御することで、抗腫瘍効果の向上を目指したい。
