Outline of Research at the Start

小児、若年成人の大脳半球に生じる悪性脳腫瘍である上衣種では、ZFTA（Zing finger translocation associated protein, 別名 C11orf95）:が様々な遺伝子との融合遺伝子を形成することが腫瘍形成に関わる。しかし、ZFTA融合遺伝子の機能は詳細には解明されておらず、特有の分子病態に基づいた治療開発は急務である。申請者らは患者由来の非常に貴重なZFTA融合遺伝子を持つ上衣腫細胞株、マウスモデルを新たに樹立することに成功した。本研究では独自の培養細胞株を利用したZFTA融合遺伝子の機能解析から、新規病態理解と新規治療開発することが本研究の主目的とである。
