Outline of Research at the Start

滑膜肉腫は主に若年成人の四肢に発生する軟部肉腫で、根治手術が困難な症例や遠隔転移例には化学療法が用いられるが、既存の化学療法の効果は乏しく、5年生存率が10%未満とも報告され、未だ予後不良であり、新規薬物療法の開発が望まれる。近年、腫瘍細胞のメタボロームが注目されるようになり、特にグルタミン代謝は、一部のがん種においては強い依存性を有することが報告されるが、滑膜肉腫に関しては明らかでない。そこで本研究の目的は滑膜肉腫のグルタミン依存性を検証し、殺細胞性の抗がん剤に代わる新規薬物療法としてグルタミント代謝阻害薬の効果を、細胞レベル及び疾患組織モデルで検証することである。
