Outline of Research at the Start

男性ホルモン補充が有効な病態は多岐にわたるが、加齢男性性腺機能低下症候群（LOH症候群）に合併した脂肪肝に対する有効性は、背景にある複雑な分子生物学的メカニズムにより十分なエビデンスが確立されていない。
本研究では、脂肪肝に対する男性ホルモン補充の感受性に着目し、男性ホルモン補充療法の介入試験を行う。肝脂肪量の変化を主要評価項目とし、有効性に影響しうる被験者因子（アンドロゲン受容体活性、テストステロン代謝酵素、性ホルモン結合グロブリン、微量元素など）を探索的に解析する。これにより脂肪肝の新たな治療戦略の開発と、男性ホルモンと脂肪肝の複雑な病態メカニズムの解明が期待される。
