Outline of Research at the Start	腹圧性尿失禁は高齢女性の10-30%に認められ、800万人以上が週に1回以上の失禁を経験すると考えられている。十分なエビデンスを有する治療薬が存在せず、新規治療薬の開発は喫緊の課題である。近年、尿道のセロトニン受容体が尿道の収縮に関与する可能性が示唆されているものの、受容体サブタイプの分布や詳細な役割は不明である。本研究では複数の腹圧性尿失禁病態モデルラットを用いて、尿道上皮内のセロトニン陽性パラニューロンネットワークの網羅的解析を行う。さらに尿道の収縮反応増強に寄与するセロトニン受容体サブタイプを同定し、創薬の標的分子を絞り込む事で、腹圧性尿失禁の新規治療薬の開発を目指す。
