Outline of Research at the Start

卵巣癌は婦人科がんの中で最も致死率が高く、多くが進行期に診断されるうえ、一次治療後の再発率も高い。なかでも、がん幹細胞（Cancer Stem Cell, CSC）は再発・転移・多剤耐性の主要因とされており、CSCを標的とした治療法の開発が喫緊の課題となっている。
本研究では、ハイドロゲル培養により卵巣癌細胞から卵巣癌幹細胞（Ovarian Cancer Stem Cell, OCSC）を誘導し、その生物学的特性を解析することで、新たな治療標的となり得る遺伝子の探索を行う。本研究を通じて、OCSCに関する理解を深め、新規治療法の提案へと繋げることを目指す。
