Outline of Research at the Start

妊娠高血圧腎症（PE）は、高血圧を主徴とした肝・腎機能障害、神経障害など多彩な母体の
臓器障害を特徴とする重篤な産科合併症である。申請者は、妊娠マウスを用いた検討により、PE患者の胎盤由来のエクソソームがPEにおける腎障害の出現に関与していることを明らかにしている。これは、エクソソームを介して胎盤-母体間が連関するメカニズムが存在することを示す画期的な成果である。本研究では、前述の研究では明らかとなっていない部分である、PE患者の胎盤由来エクソソームが母体の腎障害の発生にどのように寄与するかの分子生物学的な病態機序の解明を目指す。
