Outline of Research at the Start	トモシンセシスに関する研究は、医科領域で広く行われており、国内外ともに多数の文献が存在するが、歯科領域における研究報告は極めて少ないのが現状である。トモシンセシス法を応用して、歯周病やう蝕、などの診断に関して検討した報告は国内外ともに非常に限られ、実臨床での適用範囲の検証不足が問題と考えており、まだ発展途上の技術といえる。本研究の位置づけとしては、デジタルテクノロジーを駆使して、新たな診断ツールの開発を行い、歯科診断における新しい基準を確立することを目指している。これにより、安全で安心な医療環境の構築に寄与するとともに、国際的にも新たな基準を提供する先駆的な研究となる。
