Outline of Research at the Start

口腔扁平苔癬（OLP）は、上皮の角化異常と基底膜直下の帯状のリンパ球浸潤を伴う難治性の慢性炎症性疾患で、OLPの発症機序や治療法に関してはこれまで様々な研究がなされているが、OLPの病因・病態について不明な点が多い。病理学的には、基底膜直下に浸潤するリンパ球はT細胞を主体としていることから、これらがOLPの病態形成に関与しているといわれている。さらに近年では、浸潤するT細胞と口腔粘膜上皮の相互作用がOLPの病態に重要な役割を果たすと考えられている。そこで、本研究ではOLPの病変上皮に着目して、OLP上皮由来の疾患関連分子を同定し、最終的にはその分子を標的とした新規治療法の確立を目指す。
