Outline of Research at the Start

粘表皮癌は大小両唾液腺と全身の粘液腺から発生する悪性腫瘍であり，唾液腺悪性腫瘍の中で最も頻度が高い.粘液細胞，中間細胞，類表皮細胞の３種類の腫瘍細胞から構成されるが，そのうち中間細胞は癌幹細胞と推定される一方で，その由来や分化，分子科学的な悪性度は明らかでない.
本研究では，粘表皮癌という単一の腫瘍内における，組織学的に多彩な細胞分化・悪性度 と分子科学的な変化・相互作用との関連について空間的オミクス解析を用いて検討し，病理所見の意義や唾液腺分化のメカニズムについて解明する.さらに免疫染色や予後予測について外科病理学的な応用を目指す.
