Outline of Research at the Start

新型コロナウイルス感染症に代表される新興感染症は、人類が初めて経験する感染症であり、公衆衛生上、社会に甚大な影響を与え続けている。一方で、パンデミックから4年以上が経過した現在でもなお、世界的な疫学や流行因子は不明な点が多く、 各地域における流行予測が困難になっている。そこで本課題では、世界最大規模の疫学ビックデータを駆使する事で、公衆衛生対策、人の移動、気象因子、ワクチン接種、変異株の出現が、時空間的な感染拡大機構にどの様に寄与したかを評価し、高度な流行予測モデルの構築を目指す。
