Outline of Research at the Start

心房細動が原因で生じる脳梗塞(心原性脳塞栓症)は抗凝固療法により予防が可能である。しかし、心房細動の約3分の1は無症候性のため発見が困難である。心房細動スクリーニングに関する研究が世界各地で行われてきたが、脳梗塞や全死亡の減少につながることを示した研究は少ない。本研究では、外来診療における心電図検査の実施状況が心房細動患者数および脳梗塞患者数と関連しているかを検討することによって、外来診療における心電図検査の有用性を明らかにする。
