Outline of Research at the Start

LGBTQ＋(性的指向少数者）のメンタルへルス改善に向けた支援策の考案は喫緊の課題である。LGBTQ＋はへテロセクシュアル（異性愛者）よりも自殺未遂のリスクが2.5倍、不安障害やうつ病のリスクが1.5～2.0倍高い。申請者は認知行動療法を基盤にゲイ・バイセクシュアル男性向けのプログラムを実施したが、プログラム参加には心理的障壁や抵抗感があるという可能性が示唆された。その理由に、容易に精神的健康度は改善しないという諦め、LGBTQ＋と支援者間で「メンタルへルス」の定義にギャップがあるためと考えた。そこで、本研究では、LGBTQ＋のメンタルへルスに対する考え方やニーズ、援助要請プロセスを解明し、支援方法の検討を目指したい。
