Outline of Research at the Start

現代社会において肥満の増加が懸念される中で、胎児期のタバコ曝露が将来の肥満に影響を及ぼすことが報告されている。申請者は、妊娠中の母体喫煙が子どもの脂質代謝に与える影響や性差について明らかにしてきたが、本研究では、喫煙者に多く見られる痩せ型や現代の理想体型との乖離など、多様な因子を考慮しながら、妊娠中の喫煙と子どもの体格や代謝マーカーの関連性を検証する。さらに、妊娠中の喫煙タイミングや、体格・代謝マーカーに対して増悪または改善をもたらす因子を検討することで、妊婦の意思決定に働きかけるための科学的根拠を提供し、禁煙促進や喫煙による子どもの肥満リスクの軽減に寄与することを目指す。
