Outline of Research at the Start

意図しない傷害の予防は、子どもの死や障害を防ぐための世界的な公衆衛生上の課題である。日本では、乳児健診や母親学級などを活用して「保護者」に傷害予防教育を行ってきたが、出産後も就労を継続する女性の増加や、里帰り出産の文化があるため、祖父母からの育児支援は重要な役割を担っている。しかし、育児用品を含む子育て環境が、祖父母が育児をしていた時代から大きく変化しているにもかかわらず、彼らの傷害予防に関する知識や技術のアップデートを試みた研究は見当たらない。本研究では、①祖父母の傷害予防の知識、信念・態度、予防行動の現状を明らかにし、②祖父母向けの傷害予防教育プログラムを開発しその効果を検証する。
