Outline of Research at the Start

「半膜様筋」はリハビリテーション医療において慣例的に介入が実施されている。半膜様筋への介入は臨床的には効果が示されているが、組織学的な根拠は明らかになっていない。ここで最近、応募者は関節包の線維層が半月板に強固に「連続している」（線維層-半月板連続体）ことを組織学的に明らかにし、半膜様筋がこの構造体へ付着していることを肉眼的に観察した。このことからリハビリにおいて、半膜様筋は線維層-半月板連続体に作用することで、膝関節の屈曲可動域を改善していると考えた。本研究では「半膜様筋は膝関節の構造、特に「線維層-半月板連続体」にどのように付着し可動域改善に寄与しているのか」を組織学的に明らかにする。
