Outline of Research at the Start

代謝機能障害関連脂肪性肝疾患（MASLD）は脂肪肝に加えて糖尿病や高血圧などの生活習慣病を併発した疾患であり、ミトコンドリアなどのオルガネラの恒常性の破綻はその増悪の要因の１つである。我々は脂質代謝酵素であるPhospholipase A and acyltransferase 1（PLAAT1）を欠損させたマウスでは肥満と脂肪肝が改善することや、PLAAT1によりオルガネラが分解されることを示してきた。本課題では、MASLDの増悪とPLAAT1によるオルガネラ分解機能の関与を明らかにする。
