Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、遺伝的多様性が共生微生物叢多様性にも影響を与えるという仮説を立て、沿岸域における主要な大型ベントスであるナマコを対象としてこれを検証する。フィールド調査から遺伝子解析まで幅広いアプローチで仮説検証を試みる。この仮説が示されれば、遺伝的多様性の保全インセンティブがあらためて示されるのみならず、気候変動に代表されるような環境変動に対する応答についても知見が得られ、従って保全にも資することが期待される。
