Outline of Research at the Start |
Sulfur is one of the major elements in space. With great progress of astronomical observations, various interstellar sulfur-bearing molecules were found. Although sulfur chemistry in space has been intensively investigated, little is known about how S atoms behave on cosmic dust. Using a novel experimental technique, our research focuses on interaction of S atoms with ice surface to illuminate the initial step of sulfur chemistry.
