Outline of Research at the Start

Insects are increasingly facing extreme thermal stress due to climate change, which profoundly affects their physiology and ecological functions. This is particularly concerning for species like Orius strigicollis, a key predator in agricultural ecosystems. In this study we aim to characterize the expression profiles of HSP genes in O. strigicollis under thermal stress and examine the role of Wolbachia infection. We also seek to uncover the mechanisms underpinning thermal tolerance in O. strigicollis and its implications for integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
