Outline of Research at the Start

This research focuses on developing scalable single-mode lasers based on 2D TMDC-coupled zero-index-mode BIC metasurfaces. By leveraging the zero-refractive-index property to enable scale-invariant cavity design, the approach aims to overcome mode competition and size limitations of conventional BIC lasers. The goal is to realize compact coherent light sources with high Q, low threshold, high emission power, and small divergence angles, offering significant potential for next-generation nanophotonic and optoelectronic devices.
