Outline of Research at the Start

This project lies at the intersection of open quantum systems, quantum optics, nonlinear photonics, and condensed matter physics. Our analysis will provide the research community with tools to predict uncontroversial signatures of ultrastrong-coupling effects in various polaritonic systems, accounting for realistic system-environment coupling and material properties. In doing so, our results will contribute to a deeper understanding of ultrastrongly coupled light-matter systems that could open new avenues for quantum technology.
