Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Volatile components from the materials damaged by the tsunami and flood were identified. It was revealed that there are component differences according to how the materials were stored and what stabilization treatment they underwent. As a result of monitoring indoor air components during the reconstruction of the affected museum, the air quality characteristics and the risks posed by the storage environment were identified. Additionally, a total heat exchange ventilation system was installed in the storage space for affected materials, resulting in a successful improvement of air quality. The environmental stability of cardboard boxes and large plastic bags used as temporary storage for damaged materials was evaluated.
