Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research project, by describing distribution systems with the use of mathematical expressions, we aim to construct mathematical models that can be used for practical decision-making by firms facing competitive environments. We have achieved the following major research outcomes. First, we have identified the form of the distribution system, which is desirable for manufacturers and distributors. Second, we have derived their optimal decision timing. Third, we have determined their desirable information sharing process in the presence of demand uncertainty. These research outcomes have been published in international academic journals and presented at international academic conferences.
