Outline of Annual Research Achievements

酸化LDL取り込みにより生じる細胞内代謝物が、エピジェネティクスに必要な基質、補酵素の供給源となる可能性を明確にするために、血管内皮細胞を対象に、酸化LDL取り込み後に、DNAやヒストンのメチル化に関係するメチル基供与体であるS-アデノシルメチオニン(SAM)変動に着目した解析を進めた。特に、SAMが、細胞内に単一プールとして存在しているのか、あるいは、細胞質、核などに個別のプールがあるのか、この個別プール量の変動のエピジェネティクスにおける重要性を明確にするため、SAMの細胞内局在を蛍光法により解析する手法を確立した。
