Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study discusses the formation of a relationship in the 1930s and later between sports medicine and the International Olympic Committee regarding the introduction of sex tests and clarifies how the introduction and implementation of sex tests during the Olympic Games were communicated to society. The study also discusses how issues such as fairness and protection of rights in relation to the person and sex of athletes in the sport field should be approached from a legal perspective. Findings from the research were used as a basis to examine how we should confront the gender binary system, which is a basic principle of competitive sports.
