Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, concerning Nicolas Poussin's "Apollo and Daphne"(1664, Louvre), I suggested that a recumbent figure in the middle ground could be a shepherd Battus and that a passage from Leone Ebreo's "Philosophy of Love"(1535) could be a literary source for the artist.
