Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Through concepts such as ‘hegemony’ and ‘community of practice, I investigated a popular religion set within a global society. Concretely, I analyzed the practices of the Afro-Caribbean popular religious movement, the Santeria cult, set within Cuban governmental politics that have come to oppose some Africanist groups that have emerged through recent globalisation.
