Outline of Final Research Achievements	Based on the 829 hand-written documents of "Day Survey" of Mass Observation housed at a local archive at Brighton, The Keep, we have found that British people woke up at 7.40 am and went to bed at 11.21 pm. Comparing Voth's (1998) findings about people in the early nineteenth century, who arose 6 am and slept at 10.50 pm, their living hours have become later.
