Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research aimed at the theoretical elucidation to apply the capability approach theory emerging in Western European geography education research to social studies education. As a result, we found the capability approach based on A. Sen's capability theory as an educational philosophy theory, M. Young's social realism knowledge theory as subject content theory and D. Lambert's curriculum making theory as a method of teaching subjects are integrated. Furthermore, as clinical international collaborative research advanced, Japan's need for participation was indicated.
