Outline of Annual Research Achievements

線形反復法と時間並列化およびそれらを融合させる研究を行った。線形反復法については、基礎となる線形反復法自体について従来の算法の改良を行った。反復法の前処理については、Eisenstat-SSOR前処理を中心に研究を行い、閾値の大きさによって前処理行列の
要素に採用するかどうかを判定するという新しいタイプの前処理を提案することができた。さらに、複素数行列用の新しい反復法についても、その構成案の目途が立った。
一方、時間並列については、Parallel-in-Time法と呼ばれる算法の改良や収束性の検討、そして算法の応用分野における適用範囲の明確化などを行った。
線形反復法と時間並列化の融合については、基礎的な検討はかなり行ったが、今後さらなる研究が進行しつつあるという段階である。
