Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We performed whole genome analysis and mass spectrometry of Mycobacterium kyorinense and its related mycobacterium species. M. kyorinense and its related species demonstrated common features in several drug-resistance related genes including rpoB, inhA, katG, ahpC, and embB, but full genome data were not available in these mycobacteria due to technical issues. We successfully performed mass spectrometry for these species, but they were difficult to distinguish by mass spectrometry, probably due to their high similarity of 16S rRNA between species.
