Outline of Final Research Achievements

We generated Alzheimer disease model mice with insulin resistance by mating IRS1 knockout (IRS1KO) mice with the Alzheimer disease model mice, APP23 transgenic (APP23Tg) mice or human mutant APP knock-in mice (NL/F KI), respectively.
It was not significant difference in cognitive function determined by Y maze test between APP23Tg(-)-IRS1 wild type (WT) mice, APP23Tg(+)-IRS1WTmice, APP23Tg(-)-IRS1KO mice and APP23Tg(+)-IRS1KO mice.
It was not significant difference in cognitive function determined by Y maze test between APPWT-IRS1WT mice, NL/F homo KI-IRS1WT mice, APPWT-IRS1KO mice and NL/F homo KI-IRS1KO mice.
