Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Little report regarding immunotherapy for oral cancer has been shown. Since Oral immune tolerance has been proposed, we focused on the effect of innate immune system-associated factors in ant-tumor effect in oral cancer. We initially generated Fucci-expressing oral cancer cell line to evaluate cell cycle. Using this cell line, we found that little individual immune-related factor altered cell cycle distribution in response to anticancer reagents. However, we also observed that multiple immune-related factors did affect the cell cycle distribution altered by the anticancer drugs, indicating that immune-related factors may alter the anticancer effect in oral cancer.
