For the development of periodontal disease rapid diagnostic system, we focused on the occult bleeding (hemoglobin) in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF). We employed the gingival healthy person and the periodontal disease patient at our hospital and performed the following examination.
1) Investigate the association between quantity of hemoglobin in GCF and the condition of periodontal tissue, 2)Development of the rapid diagnostic kit which can detect a occult bleeding (hemoglobin) in GCF, 3) Making the guideline of periodontal disease rapid diagnostic kit for detect an initial stage of periodontal disease.
We improved the hemoglobin detection kit for fecal occult-blood in medical examinations which apply an immunochromatographic analysis method. We also examined a convenience and sensitivity of this kit, we succeeded in the development of the periodontal disease rapid diagnostic system.
