Outline of Annual Research Achievements

S-PRGは、水の存在下でフロオロアルミノシリケートガラスとポリアクリル酸を酸塩基反応させることで生成されるグラスアイオノマーであり、本フィラーはコンポジットレジンや根管充填剤、ボンディング材、コーティング材などの一成分として広く利用されている。
S-PRGフィラーは、フッ素、ストロンチウム、ホウ素などの様々な元素を徐放する性質を有しており、再石灰化などう蝕予防にも有効なことが知られている。最近ではS-PRG配合レジンの抗プラーク作用、S-PRG含有根管充填剤の抗菌作用など多くの報告がなされている
われわれはS-PRGイオン溶出液のう蝕原性、歯周病原性細菌に対する抑制作用を検討した。そしてS-PRGイオン溶出液はEnterococcus faecium のマイクロウェルプレートへの付着を抑制することを報告した。さらに、P. gingivalis のシステインプロテアーゼ活性やゼラチナーゼ活性を抑制し、P. gingivalis とF. nucleatum との共凝集を抑制することを示した。
今年度われわれはこれまでの研究をさらに進めS-PRGイオン溶出液による唾液バイオフィルム形成阻害作用、成熟バイオフィルムの破壊効果を示した。また、S-PRGイオン溶出液だけでなくS-PRG配合歯磨剤によるバイオフィルム形成抑制にいついても報告した。さらに、歯周病原性細菌に対する抑制効果が明らかになっているS-PRGイオン溶出液を口臭抑制に応用する可能性についても報告した。
